Fall Basket Ideas!

It's fall, y'all! I don't know about you, but I LOVE the start to a new season. Each season, I always bring out themed books, toys, etc but it's a quick switch and everything is just kind of "there". I'm starting something new in our house, and making an October 1st Basket! This doesn't need to break the bank..use what you have, and add if you want to. For ours, I purchased some new things, but also mixed in some old favourites. My goal for this is to bring everything together in a cute way and create a tradition for the girls.

Let's take a peek inside!

I found this bowl at Winners a few weeks ago, and knew it would be perfect for this project. Harper LOVES finding mickey patterns on things, and I can't wait to see her face light up when she sees this bowl.

It doesn't need to be fancy- you can also use a box, basket, your halloween candy bowl, wrapping paper, or whatever you have on hand!

Inside is a mix of old and new. The ghost toy was a dollar store find last year (it lights up!) and the books are fall favourites. I admit that there are a few more things for the four year old than there are for the baby (sorry, Marlo!!), it wasn't on purpose, but she really won't notice this year, and I didn't want to buy things just to buy them.

I was at a favourite local shop of ours, Hey Baby and knew these pieces HAD to be included in the box (bowl). Harper has been all about bracelets and her nails lately, and this purchase felt necessary haha. Little ghost nail stickers! Come on!!

Nail stickers: Daydream Society Bracelet: The Rainbow Mermaid

Another Winners find... I couldn't resist bat and pumpkin shaped pasta : )

Halloween clothes- so stinkin' cute! I got the girls matching black Halloween pants from Carters, pjs from the Gap, and this Bluey tshirt and ghost onesie from Old Navy.

And that's it! I gathered all of these items together and put them in our bowl, and now I'm patiently waiting for October first! Some other ideas for your basket: stickers, glow sticks, hot chocolate.... I can't wait to hear what you put in yours!
